Oaklee's top tips to saving energy:-
- Close your curtains at dusk to stop heat escaping through your windows
- Always turn off your lights when you leave a room
- Use the "half load" or "economy" function on your washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher when possible.
- Turn your thermostat down by 1°C, it could cut your heating bills by up to 10 per cent and save you around £65 per year and 290kg of CO2. The recommended temperature should be around 18-21°C, so try keeping it at the lowest level that you feel comfortable at.
