Strand Court celebrates its 30th Anniversary (Monday 4th October, 2010)

One of Oaklee Homes Group's first sheltered schemes in Belfast is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the provision of quality social housing for elderly tenants.

Strand Court was officially opened by Mr David Mitchell MP in September 1980. The scheme is made up of 19 flats and epitomizes the best of Oaklee's vision for quality of life in social housing with every amenity at the heart of the community. Oaklee measures its success on the people it serves and Kathleen Blair is the longest remaining tenant at Strand Court enjoying to date 13 happy years at the scheme.

Oaklee are growing from strength to strength as one of the leading Housing Associations in Northern Ireland providing and managing quality social housing, care and support services to meet a wide range of needs. The group provide sheltered housing for older people, general family housing, mature singles and also people with special needs.

 

Mrs Sylvia Doran Chairperson for Oaklee Homes Group comments on the significance of this anniversary,
