Jack Allen Court celebrates its 10th Anniversary (Wednesday 4th August, 2010)
Tenants, staff and Mayor of Londonderry Cllr.Colum Eastwood came together to celebrate Jack Allen Courts' 10th anniversary.
Jack Allen Court in Londonderry city center was originally opened in 1985 by HRH Pincess Anne. Jack Allen Court today epitomizes the best of Oaklee's vision for quality of life in sheltered accommodation with every amenity at the heart of the community.
Oaklee measures its success on the people it serves and Jack Allen has a number of original tenants still living at the scheme, enjoying to date 10 happy years.
Group Chief Executive of Oaklee Homes Group Ian Elliott spoke at the event, " I am thrilled to be here today to celebrate the milestone anniversary for Jack Allen Court. It is great to see everyone joining in on the festivities which highlight the strong feeling of community spirit at the scheme which is so important to Oaklee and our residents. I wish Jack Allen Court and all its residents many more years of happiness to enjoy life at the scheme."
