Oaklee Housing Association / Fuel Poverty
Fuel Poverty is said to occur when, in order to heat its home to an adequate standard of warmth, a household needs to spend more than 10% of its income on total fuel use. With rising fuel costs and the current economic climate, fuel poverty poses a real threat to many tenants. Oaklee Housing Association has taken a number of measures to assist their tenants, such as negotiating on energy costs where possible, installing energy saving and lower energy equipment and providing advice and support.
